Treat or Treat?
Householders in Warwick Gates who answer the door this hallowe'en might get more than they bargained for. Church members from Warwick Gates Community Church will be visiting local houses, giving away boxes of chocolates as part of 'Treat or Treat'.
Also running on 31st October are 'Light and Bright' parties for children and families with games, food and fun activities on a 'light and bright' theme. See the events calendar for full details of these events.
But why do this? Chair of Churches Together, Jonathan Jee, explained 'hallowe'en is a night which celebrates darkness but churches believe they have something more powerful and worthwhile, the light of Jesus Christ. We want to take that light out to people on a dark night of the year and simply tell them that God loves them.'
